Spring Break

My sister Tia came out for a visit, so we headed down to Washington D.C. for a visit.  On the first day we went to the Museum of Natural History, The Air and Space Museum, and a couple of the gardens.

Leaving the Air and Space museum

The Washington Monument at dusk.

We stayed the night with Nathan's cousins (we love visiting them!).  On our second day we walked around to all the outside monuments.  It was a beautiful warm day and right at the begining of the Cherry Blossom Festival.

The Cherry Blossoms were beautiful!
We had a fun time and the kids wore themselves out from all the walking, but what an experience.

Easter Morning

Easter Morning before our church had General Conference we headed over to a friend's house for a yummy brunch and an Easter Egg hunt.  We had a lot of fun and had a lot of candy!  I think there were about 20 kids running around looking for eggs!

Here I am trying to get H to come out from under the trampoline and look for eggs.  It didn't work, she was more interested in the ball that she found.  She just didn't realise what was inside the eggs!
After the brunch we headed home with full bellies and watched conference at home.   We had great tasting ham and twiced baked potatoes for dinner with a chocolate pudding pie for dessert!  What a great day!

Easter

We had a fun time dressing up for Easter.  Here are a few shots of the kids!

Keeping it Real!

Visitors

My Parents and sister came for a visit at the end of March.  They did a lot of sightseeing and traveling.  They visited Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington D.C.   They also visited with us a couple days.  The kids loved having visitors.  They also love the shirts they got out of it!  Thanks Mom and Dad!

First Experiment (Kind of)

E had her first Science Fair at the begining of March.  She wanted to do one on the Solar System.  We spent a late night typing and gluing, but it turned out okay. Nathan says next year she has to do and actual experiment for the fair :)

March Madness

February ended with  a lovely snow storm.  We had drifting so in some places it was almost bare, and in others I shoveled over a foot!

Nathan installed a laminate floor in our kitchen at the begining of March.  It was time consuming, but not too difficult.  It turned out very nice.  My only complant is that is shows the dirt more than our old floor, which meansI get to mop more!

You better watch out, She's four!

K celebrated her 4th birthday on Thursday. We had a fun filled day with a small party with friends and then a family party that night.
K is such a little cutie. She loves to wear dresses and refuses to wear pants for the most part. She loves her dress ups and would wear them 24 7 if I let her. She also loves to do anything J does, so she will play with his knex and magnetex for hours. She is also quite the talker. It's hard to get her to pause and talk quieter. K is a joy in our family and we have had fun the last 4 years! We love you K!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SWEET GIRL!
