More of HBG
HB is doing great. She still sleeps a lot. She is only getting up 2 times a night to eat which is great! The kids are adjusting somewhat well. K loves to come and smother H with hugs and kisses so I have to keep a very watchful eye on her. E starts school tomorrow and J starts preschool on the 2. Hopefully everything goes well!

More pictures of HBG
We are all home now and our home has been vacated by all our company (Dawn's mother, two sisters, and one sister's family).
Everybody seems to be adjusting well. We only have tantrums from our resident two year old every 5 minutes. This is between times when she is trying to put her baby doll, baby blanket, food, or whatever else seems inappropriate on the new defenseless baby. J has also had his share of tantrums, but are probably related to a lack of sleep he is suffering from.
Our first night home went well with only one midnight feeding at about 3:00 a.m. We'll take more of that any night.
Here is a link to some pictures taken right as we were leaving the hospital. Search for the baby with initals HB (no last names are used on this site) born at 3:58 pm 8/13/08.

Our New Arrival
The baby is finally here.
The baby is 23" and weighs 9 lbs 3 oz. She has dark hair.
We arrived at the hospital at about 7:30 am. Dawn's OB was the resident on call all day, so unfortunately she was distracted by numerous c-sections which led to a slow protracted labor. Dawn's nurse had Dawn try pushing about 3:30 and was satisfied that the baby was ready to be born. We finally got all arranged and Dawn gave one push and the baby came out, caught by me.
HBG gets to meet Dawn on the outside.
Awake and examining the outside world.

E was the definitely the most excited. When I called to say we were finished, she was jumping up and down (somehow I could tell, even on the phone).
She likes sucking on things.
J enjoyed her for about 5 seconds, but we caught it on digifilm.
K behaved herself for her first greeting, although close supervision was warranted.
And our growing family.
And thus the sleepless nights, uh, continue....

Before and After
We are about 3/4 of the way through painting our home. We are hoping that the last part goes by quickly. It doesnt' look like that will happen though with the baby coming and Nathan's schedule. Oh well. We'll get it done before it snows!

Surviving
Nathan made it through scout camp last week. I made it through the week without going into labor and not going insane with the kids. The Thursday before he left we found out our baby was still in the breech postition. This led to talking about manually turning the baby and possible c-section. I didn't like the idea of either, but we set things in place just in case. So when Nathan left I was stressed about the whole situation. With a lot of prayers I found out that the baby had finally turned at my ultrasound last Tuesday! I was relieved to hear this and it made my week go a little better.
Nathan returned very late Friday night. We were both very blessed throughout the week. I am now very ready to have this baby. Unfortunately because the baby was in the breech position for so long my body really hasn't done anything. So it looks like this baby will be in for a while longer. I have a scheduled induction on the 15 if she hasn't come before then. So pray that the baby will come soon. If not I guess I am waiting until the 15. We'll keep you posted.

34 weeks down.
I just realised how close I am to having this baby come. I am 35 weeks on Thursday which is when E was born. That means I am 3 weeks away from when I had K which is the longest I have ever gone. So hopefully the baby will come sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. I am ready for the baby to be here. I am excited to hold her and see who she will look like. K asked me yesterday if she could hold the baby. I told her she could once the baby was out of my tummy. She then started to lift my shirt to find the baby. Nathan is busy at work, painting the house (I'll take a picture for an update soon) and scout camp. He leaves a week from Saturday for a full week to be with the scouts. I am not too thrilled about this, but there is not much I can do (unless the baby comes, then he would'nt go :) ). Other than that not too much going on. Here is my lovely 34 week belly. It can only get bigger from here :)
